Upscale Vegetarial Dinning

Most restaurants draw a definitive line between serving the meat-eating crowd or the veggie loving diners. Nuela, the new upscale Nuevo-Latino restaurant, created a delicious menu that will please both parties. You will never have to beg your friends to give up their steak for a piece of soy duck or a veggie burger. Neither you will have to hold your breath that your brave friend who decided to try vegetarian food will either leave hungry or spit his food out.

I am not a full vegetarian but I do love my veggies! And I love restaurants run by chefs who are open-minded about vegetarian friendly substitutions! Nuela’s chef specifically indicates that most dishes can be made vegetarian. His creative vegetarian dishes include  a flavorful smoked mushroom arepaz with plantains, black kale salad, creamed quinoa, or an amazing kale gratin with creamy peanut sauce! If you usually avoid meat but include seafood in your diet, you will be pleasantly surprised with the largest ceviche menu in the city. I am very picky when it comes to ceviche, it has to be fresh, not to sour or loaded with onions. The lobster ceviche, for an acceptable $17, had a good portion of lobster chunks in avocado and cucumber gazpacho. All the ceviches can be served with traditional Latin palate cleansers like sweet potato logs. Main dishes are $25-$32, with most ceviches priced at an affordable $10-$22. Plus, Nuela offers a great selection of Spanish wines that are surprisingly cheap! Everything is very fresh and yummy!
