How To Incorporate Ayurveda in Western Culture and Diet
Interview with Cate Stillman of Yoga Healer
We tend to idealize people, theories, and traditions and try to copy them to our life. This happens with ayurveda a lot. Breaking tradition is looked down upon.
Putting yourself in a box of rules created by other people makes us stuck. It can make you feel like a failure if old respected traditions are not working for you. We need to learn how to create our own rules based on what we know and what we have experienced in our body. It takes awareness and respect to your own wisdom to find found that you really resonate with and that makes every single cell in your body jump from joy.
If you are ready to get out of the box of rules created for you and want to take responsibility for forming your own guidelines, this interview with Cate Stillman will be very helpful for you.
In the this video you will learn:
-
Does copying ayurveda that came from India works in the modern western context?
-
What are some mistakes/roadblocks that someone can bump into if trying to follow a traditional ayurvedic lifestyle and diet word to word?
-
What do you need to know and do before you can create your own guidelines in diet and lifestyle routine.
-
What are some adjustments that you think we can and maybe should make (diet, food, choices, cooking methods, exercise, detox methods, etc)?
-
What are some ayurvedic principles worth exploring and implementing in our life?
